Gaia Dome interior

Big Island, Hawaï - Design & execution

Showcase dome for Domegaia, a Hawaï-based company that pioneered the construction of domes out of Aircrete bricks. To sell their services worldwide, Domegaia needed a signature style and methodology for their interiors.

Curves and rounded shapes throughout continue the form language inherent to domes. Material and colour choices are warm and rich in texture. The result is both soothing and uplifting, fitting its beautiful natural setting.

Materials used

Stained Magnesium Oxide floors. Bamboo supports and divider. Mahogany stairs. Pine window frames. Concrete window trim and platform. Done together with Hajjar Gibran and Gabriel de la Cruz.
